The aroma really draws you in with sour plum, sweet cherry and an earthiness from the blueberries. The taste is pretty much exactly as you’d expect from this combination of fruit. Lovely layers of tart berries, a decadent mouthfeel and an almost yoghurt like finish making the lactobacillus known .
There is a faint hint of mulled wine in there somewhere but no mention of any spice additions on the can so most likely just my imagination…
All in all a good winter sour and one that I can imagine going very well with Christmas dinner. Roll on the 25th!
