Past Life - Pressure Drop Brewing

Having seen the return of American hop ‘Ekuanot’ pop up in quite a few beers recently I was interested to taste Pressure Drop usage of this often overlooked variety ...

Beer pours a vibrant yellow colour, opaque as I expected in this interpretation of the style and a super fresh, almost cheesy hop aroma bouncing out the glass !

The taste is quite interesting with deep savoury notes of pine, pepper and an almost earthiness to it. Followed by the usual suspects of papaya and citrus undertones which although delicious sometimes seemed to clash with the more savoury flavours .

It’s great to see breweries use often over looked and underused hops and if I was going to trust anyone to do them justice, Pressure Drop would be high up there .
